The saz is a typical Turkish instrument and is a seven-stringed instrument like a luth. There are many saz players in Mustafapaşa. Different percussion instruments such as small drums and tambourines accompany the traditional saz music.
You can hear traditional musical instruments played at weddings or other family and social events. The clarinet and flute can also be heard. Drums, made from stretched goat or sheep leather are played using a wooden mallet.
